a little side note - kelly, notice what earrings kennedy is wearing? her MOTHS - yes, butterflies are a little too girly, so she loves her MOTH earrings (=
2 years ago Kennedy chipped her front tooth. it was a big, expensive process getting it fixed, partly because normal sedation doesn't work on kennedy. she's that 1% of kids who actually gets more hyper and CRAZY when given that drug! SO, she had to get a different kind which didn't make her fall asleep & it was pretty horrible watching her scream as they worked on her.
ANYWAYS, 2 years later & kennedy has rechipped that same tooth - or probably, just knocked the filling out. it's been like that for a couple of weeks & since she hasn't complained about "chipper" (what she has named the tooth), i didn't bother taking her to the dentist since she has a cleaning in a couple of weeks. well, on sunday she told me her tooth was bleeding. i looked & there was no blood? again later, she told me her tooth was bleeding. so i asked her to show me where it was bleeding & she pointed to her gum. oh nice...a big abcess right above chipper!
so we went to the dentist yesterday & she has to get her 2 front teeth pulled (yet another expensive process because our dental insurance doesn't cover sedation)!!! they could just pull the one tooth, but since it's a couple years earlier than it should fall out, they recommend pulling the 2 teeth that normally fall out together. so bye bye chipper & chipper's neighbor. she said she doesn't want them to get rid of chipper, she really likes him, and don't i like chipper? of course i love chipper...so we talked about the wonderful tooth fairy...
kennedy has worked things out where she's going to write the tooth fairy a special letter to let her know that she wants her [the tooth fairy] to give her money for chipper, but she doesn't want her to take him away. she wants the money & to keep chipper.
that kid! she never ceases to crack us up!

Oh my gosh! About 3 weeks ago, Noah chipped his front tooth and we went to the dentist, blah, blah...anyway, told us it would be expensive to bond because of the sedating. (Also, told us it might become discolored) So now he has a wonky "chipper" that might turn yellow. Tell Kenenedy that if she misses hers, she can always tell Noah to smile and she can feel nostaligic!
You guys are always good for an amusing story. I can't believe she's going to be a toothless four-year-old! I didn't lose my first tooth until 2nd grade! I can't wait to see the pictures of everything.
