bye bye crib - sort of

during christmas break, when we were in chattanooga, ellison figured out that she could climb out of the pack 'n play. clint & were like, oh no!! and wondered if that meant she would start climbing out of her crib - that wonderful wooden area of containment! sure enough, the first night we're home, clint turned around to say goodnight to the girls & turn the light off, and low & behold, there's ellison teetering on the rail of the crib! SO we took her mattress out & put it on the floor - where kennedy wanted to sleep & ellison gladly took over big sister's bed! so since then, ruth has given us her queen size bed (since she's moving to utah in a week - aacckkk!), and we now have the girls in that bed. well, sort of. ellison has slept in that bed for the past week & then today for nap time & bed time, she's wanted to sleep in her crib (i do leave the railing down so she can get in & out without me worrying about her getting hurt). so i guess i'll let her continue to get adjusted to the big bed & one of these days, we'll move the crib into the guest bedroom which is also going to be the baby's nursery. so here are some pictures of ellison getting used to her new found freedom! and to my misfortune, my new middle of the night visitor!

at my parent's house 2 weeks ago...she had gotten out of her bed & climbed in bed with kennedy. i love how she always has to have her gear (paci, blanket & sippy cup)
