my little toddler

avery turned 16 months on the 30th...and tonight, she pooped on the potty!!!  what??  i know!  she was sitting on the couch tonight & got that look on her face [you know, the "i'm about to crap my pants" look].  i asked her if she was going to go poop & she said "poo-poo."  so i asked her if she wanted to go on the potty.  her eyes lit up & she jumped off the couch & ran in the bathroom.  i followed her & she was already taking her pants off when i walked in.  i took her diaper off.  she climbed up on the big potty (because the little one is for babies, not big kids like her).  she got some toilet paper, balled it up & "wiped" & then flushed the toilet.  so by this point, i was like, oh, she's just playing, i don't know why i thought she was actually going to go?!  so i'm about to take her off the pot when i notice she's being still.  ummm, then i notice she's pushing!  oh sweet jeraldine!  she just floated a log down the river, took the browns to the super bowl, she POOPED on the POTTY!!  now, i know it's early & she's definitely not potty trained, BUT, this is a huge step!  she wants to use the potty like her sisters & GETS IT...at 16 months.  crazy.
AND
she's really cute & super sweet.  we love us some avery!  her last 2 eye teeth are coming in & then this gal will have all 16 teeth  - please let that be soon, so we can start sleeping thru the night again!!!   but anyways, just wanted to share this huge accomplishment of avery's with ya'll!  i'm sure she'll thank me in 12 years (;
