mother's day

so for mother's day, the girls & i headed down to melbourne to surprise my mom [and dad]!  ruth was going to be visiting & rachel was coming in from dc, so i thought it would definitely be worth the 8 hr drive!!  but in retrospect, NOT what i should have been doing on mother's day - driving 8 hrs with a 5, 3 & 1 yr old, is not really that relaxing or fun!  (;

stop at chic-il-A - this in combination with a movie takes up a good 2 hrs

and in all honesty, my girls are THE best travelers ever!  well, avery isn't a champ yet, but that's just because she's still nursing & doesn't understand WHY if she's calling my name & i'm right there next to her, is she still in her seat?!  she's almost there though.  but the other 2, give them snacks & a movie & we usually only have to take a potty break every 3-4 hrs.

full day of sun + dad's amazing cooking = lazy evening!

anyways, it was such a fun weekend, we had an amazing time!  as dad would say, "what larks, eh?!"
