kennedy's class is participating in a reading program with scholastic...if her class reads 50 books, scholastic will match that & donate books to children on us military bases. so kennedy brought this chart home with the following instructions attached: parents please write the name of each book you read on the line & have your child color the corresponding star. of course, kennedy wanted to write the titles herself. she tried to copy the font exactly & that's why the handwriting looks funny. for example, swimmy, the last book she wrote, had an italics or cursivy font. after writing the first 3 letters, she said that writing squiggly letters was hard & she would rather just write them normal. i couldn't agree more! and of course, kennedy couldn't just COLOR the star, she had to draw little star people/break dancers! so creative & imaginative!!! mrs. heather (her teacher) is always commenting on how creative kennedy is when they do their art projects. i love it!
