a new little boy has moved in across the street. for those of you who have witnessed or heard us talk about - the guy across the street that sings & plays awesome air guitar in his yard (alton) - well, the new little boy, alex, has moved into that house. so alex got a new bike for christmas & kennedy wanted to ride it yesterday. clint said, sure, thinking that she obviously can't ride without training wheels, so he'll let her try & see how hard it is - and that will be the end of it. well, he put her on, got her started going and about after 20 sec let go & off she went! so 2 more times he got her started and then after that, she was on her own! kennedy can ride a bike!!!
and no, kennedy did not get a new bike for christmas. remember christmas 2008, when kennedy got an awesome spiderman bike? well, unfortunately, that said bike was left behind my van one night & i ran over it. well, i didn't run over it, but when i backed up, it knocked it over & the bumper bent the wheel/handlebars. so instead of taking the $80 bike somewhere to see if it could be repaired (since it was still basically brand new...this happened when it was only a couple months old), clint put it out on the curb. by the time kennedy had come inside to tell me this, someone had already taken it!!! man, didn't they hit the jackpot?!
so for now, kennedy will just have to ride her old little "rocket" bike. clint took the training wheels off tonight. maybe it won't get left behind my van & just maybe, next year santa will bring her a new bike [again].
